Importing data (and fixing import errors)
Supported format: CSV with a header row (spreadsheets export this from Excel/Google Sheets). Four import kinds exist: contacts, enquiries, quotes, and completed jobs.
Column mapping: after uploading, match your columns to LeadMender fields. Mappings are saved per import kind and pre-applied next time.
Validation: every row is checked (email format, phone format, dates, amounts). Invalid rows are skipped and listed in a downloadable error report with the row number and the problem.
Duplicates: contacts are matched by email first, then phone, within your workspace. Matched rows attach records to the existing contact instead of creating a duplicate.
Rollback: from the import history you can roll back any import. Contacts it created are archived and records it created are removed; contacts that already existed are untouched.
Dates: both ISO (2026-01-31) and day/month/year (31/01/2026) formats are accepted.
